لم (أداة نفي)

لَمْ (أداة نفي)‏ \ not: (often shortened in speech to n’t with the verbs be, can, dare, do, have, may, must, need, ought) a word that gives an opposite meaning to any word or sentence: He did not or didn’t come. \ لَمْ تَعُدْ صالِحةً لِلَّعِب \ out of play: not in play. \ لَمْ يأبَهْ \ disregard: to take no notice of: He disregarded our warning that the river was dangerous, and went swimming anyway. \ See Also يَكْترثْ بِـ \ لَمْ يُبَتّ فيه \ uncertain: not certain; doubtful; undecided; changeable: Our holiday plans are still uncertain, we haven’t decided where to go.
